Wes Grant Parke/You Fish Scotland

Wes Grant-Parke is a full-time professional fly fishing guide, instructor and founder of You Fish Scotland, based in Inverness in the Scottish Highlands. With 18 years of experience as a professional guide, Wes has dedicated his career to helping anglers experience Scotland’s outstanding rivers, lochs and wild landscapes.

Born and raised in Castlerock, Northern Ireland, Wes developed a lifelong passion for fishing that has taken him from the rivers and coastlines of Ireland and Scotland to fly fishing destinations around the world. His guiding focuses on Atlantic salmon, wild native brown trout and sea trout, combining technical expertise with a relaxed, personal approach that welcomes both beginners and experienced anglers.

Wes is SGAIC qualified and holds FFI Certified Instructor (CI) and FFI Two-Handed Casting Instructor (THCI) qualifications. His commitment to continual development has seen him work extensively on advanced casting techniques and instructional methods, with a strong focus on helping anglers understand not only how to cast, but why different techniques work.

Beyond guiding, Wes is passionate about the wider benefits of fly fishing. Through Tight Lines Open Minds, he promotes fly fishing as a way to reconnect with nature, reset the mind and support wellbeing, particularly for people experiencing stressful lives or demanding work.
